Happy Birthday Dan!

Where do I begin thanking or happy-birthday-ing my special Husband? He is the most tenderhearted, loving, compassionate, strong, intelligent, funny, loyal, trusting, encouraging, helping, laid back man I've ever known. He is my other half and I am so proud of who he is!

He says he doesnt feel like its his birthday because of how time has flown since we've been married! Dan, you deserve so much more than I can give you in a gift! Know that you are loved, respected, and appreciated by me!

(Here he is, in our history-lover element, at Ft. Sumter)

On our honeymoon... If you look closely, you can see the Pitons of St. Lucia in his glasses... one of which we conquered that day in our 5 hour hike!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN! I LOVE YOU.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

True love, always unconditional
Healing through tough times
In all the moves, they made it fun for the kids.
Reversed ALL theories/statistics/trends and stayed married
Taught children how to love Jesus and live out His love
Young forever, especially now in this NEW stage of life: grandkids!

Yearning to be better, in love and in family
Excellent parenting skills
Added three married children who look to you as a model
Ridiculous FUN and laughter, on trips, at home & always at the dinner table
Serious dedication to one another, their vows and their commitment to Christ.

I am so proud to be your daughter and I am so grateful that I have parents who broke all statistics and beat all odds to overcome trials and successfully stay married for 30 years!

Yeah Yeah Yeah!

Love you both.

Office Remodeling!!!

We were driving home from the store and I looked at Dan and said--Lets paint the office!!!  It had been on my mind anyway (our goal is first floor first then second story)...plus, that closet that I couldn't open needed to be tackled and since I'm still unemployed, I took that closet to toooown.  We arrived at Lowe's and DAN PICKED THIS COLOR OUT!  I was so proud of us!  Its called Caramel Cream (even though it shouts: Texas Longhorns, unintentionally)...
These pictures are not that great of quality, lo siento (I'm sorry).

Dan's desk.  If you look closely, thats Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin keeping checks on us as we work on our computers... !! I want to purchase more of those frames and get a WWII series eventually.

My desk and our library and collection of Starbucks mugs!

Even though it doesnt look like it, this closet is much more workspace efficient!  We have a lot of books and they are stuffed in here with all of our other organizing and Dan's computer stuff!

Enjoy and hope you like it!

I'm aware that I said that I'd post pictures of our newly decorated office but it is not ready yet.

Please, hold on to your seats, I'll do it THIS WEEK.

Christmas 2008

Very large walrus at my favorite show at Sea World!!! So cute and furry and large!

We had lunch at a restaurant called Shark and the entire west wall was an aquarium... kinda creepy but way coool!   (yes, that is a shark above our heads!)

Here is Zachary holding a lizard!  He's so brave, all the girls squealed when the lizard jumped out of his hands!

After returning home to Charlotte and redecorating, organizing and doing 18 loads of laundry, I uploaded my pictures and realized that I did not take that many...at all. I have a few excuses:
1. There were at least 2 cameras sitting out at once and I figured someone else would take a photo if something came about. 2. I took a few on my moms camera thinking it was mine. 3. Zachary was enamored by the males who doted him and therefore, minimally attended to my yearnings to giggle with him (not mad, I understood!) 4. The camera we brought to Sea World did not have a charged battery most of the day except for a few seconds at each show.  5. I was not feeling well a few times and lost my artistic ability to photograph.  6.  My Camera does not do well with pictures at night/inside without lighting so, my Christmas Eve pictures were only so so.  7. Beach football is always the best time to take pictures and since I was all-starring it in the sand, I didnt have 'time' to take pictures.  (Note: all-starring it is an exaggeration...Dan and I could not WALK the day or two after because we were so sore!). 8. Allie is so cute and I couldnt resist kissing her and missed out on pictures.

Christmas in Florida is always nice. Good food, great weather, good people and laughter...with two kids around, the presents part was WAY different but this new stage of life for my parents is phenomenal and I see the joy in their faces!!!

Our mexican fiesta of foooood (post destruction of cousins/uncles/aunts/etcccc).

All the cousins in the family.  Raschelle, Allie, Emily, Me, Eric, Zach, Kylie, Rebecca, Brandon, Leah, Heidi and Landon!  Phew. That was funny!
Eric!!! Seriously, this was a great picture!

Zachary giving me the model look, my editing above and the original (with Dads fav red hat!) below.
