Two sweet sister pics

Ashlyn is very sweet with Noah, despite her wrecking-ball demeanor.   She pokes him a tiny bit hard and tackles him around a little bit but it IS in love and her concern while he cries is adorable.  After one morning session of him eating, Ashlyn climbed up and asked to get under the blanket too.  Here's the result: it lasted just a second but it was very sweet.

Ari rarely takes naps nowadays but yesterday she did and I had to wake her after about an hour.  I put her next to Noah and they finished out their naps together. It was sweet. Ari is showing a tiny bit less love for him, mostly because she's preoccupied with a million other 3 1/2 year old activities and not babies.  She's very helpful to me and has retrieved phones, burp clothes, wipes and more. I love her helpfulness!

Introducing: Noah Daniel

Starting Thursday afternoon, we were getting anxious to meet our son, and knew it would be any day.  Very early Friday morning,  just after midnight Jenny's water broke and the contractions started almost right away.  Knowing the time was almost here, Jenny called her midwife, Lori, and we raced to the birth center in South Carolina.  It was more dramatic and quicker than with Ashlyn, and after arriving around 1:45, Jenny was clearly ready to go!  After some intense labor, Noah was born into the world at 2:31am.  8lbs, 11oz and 21.5 in long.  The Lord is good.

Call us crazy, but we left by 5:15am and were home soon after!  Noah is a handsome boy who has already begun to breastfeed and has slept pretty well.  He seems more quiet than our girls, but we're sure that will change!

Thank you all for your love, texts, calls and prayers.  Noah is such a blessing and we're excited for you all to meet him in person.  Special thanks to Grammy and Grampa for being here and helping more than we deserve!  See the rest of you soon!

Moments after birth

Noah living up to his name as a man of great faith! =)

Yawn!

Hey guys!

Look at those long arms!

One of our favorite things: watching the girls interact and sweetly care for Noah.

Bruising much less in day 2!
