Little did you know that in those camping pictures, our smiles are big and our faces light up because that Friday morning we left to go camping, we found out we are pregnant!!!! Yes, I woke up that morning, at 5:30, walked in with the pregnancy test and woke Dan up with the news.
After a few weeks of uncertainty and weird symptoms (short term memory loss, forgetting what I'm about to say, intense thirst), we were able to confirm it with a visual, a heartbeat and butterflies in our hearts!
He/She Haller is due around January 13th, with some bids for the 1st, 6th, 15th and 26th (!), He/She will join Dan's side of the family in birthday season and will certainly be as loved as the rest! Jenny's side of the family is thrilled to be adding more nieces and nephews (and of course, grandkids for those young parents of hers)!!!
Jenny's doing fine. She feels nauseous at certain meals that used to make her ravenous. She is excited and nervous about nourishing this little creation inside her but knows God is leading the way in his glorious forming.
Dan's doing fine too. He's feeling some symptoms also, such as wondering who the dad is, (yes, he felt the need yesterday at the doctors office to shout, "What?!?! I'm the father!!?!?!"), fear of the unknown and uncontrolled emotions, and an intense desire to clean up after me (okay, the last one was necessary recently, due to my intense cold and sickness).
Here's the obligatory ultrasound photo: We are 8 weeks along and our little one is the size of a kidney bean (hence the blurred close up...) Developing well, with a rapid heartbeat, his/hers toes and hands are developing, as is the brain and spinal cord. Yah for new life!
